GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Valley Heart Romaine Lettuce seeds directly outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked in spring. Choose a location with full sun and well-drained soil. Lightly cover seeds with soil, spacing them 6 to 7 seeds per foot in rows.

Germination occurs in 7-14 days. Once seedlings reach 2 inches tall, thin them to 8 inches apart. Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. For continuous harvest, sow seeds every two weeks.

Maintain even moisture and mulch to retain soil temperature and moisture. Harvest outer leaves as needed or cut entire heads when mature. Enjoy fresh in salads or as lettuce wraps.
