GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Summertime Lettuce seeds directly in the garden as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring. Choose a location with full sun and well-draining soil. Lightly cover the seeds with soil, spacing them 6 to 7 seeds per foot of row. Maintain a soil temperature of around 60-70°F for optimal germination.

Once seedlings reach about 2 inches tall, thin them to stand 8 inches apart to allow for full head development. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. As the plants grow, ensure they receive full sunlight to prevent bolting and maintain their crisp texture.

Harvest the lettuce heads when they are firm and fully formed, approximately 60 days after planting. For continuous harvests, plant new seeds every 10 to 14 days. Enjoy fresh, crunchy lettuce in salads and sandwiches throughout the summer.
