GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Sugar Lace Pea seeds directly in well-drained soil in a sunny spot as soon as the soil can be worked in spring. Plant seeds 1 inch deep and 2 inches apart in rows spaced 18 inches apart. Use a legume-specific inoculant to enhance growth.

Germination typically occurs in 7-14 days. Ensure soil remains moist but not waterlogged. As seedlings grow, thin them to maintain proper spacing. No staking is required due to their self-supporting nature.

Water regularly, especially during dry spells. Harvest pods every 1 to 3 days once they reach 3 inches long for peak flavor. Enjoy fresh, steamed, or in various dishes. Peas are best harvested in the morning when they are crisp and sweet.
