GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Start Sugar Cube Melon seeds indoors 2-4 weeks before the last frost. Sow 2-3 seeds in peat pots at a depth of 1/2 inch and maintain a temperature of 70°F for optimal germination. Ensure the soil is light and enriched with organic matter.

Once seedlings have 2-3 true leaves and all danger of frost has passed, transplant them outdoors. Gradually harden off the seedlings by exposing them to outdoor conditions for a few hours a day, increasing exposure over a week. Space plants 18-24 inches apart in full sun.

Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Use mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Harvest when melons emit a sweet aroma and the stem slips easily from the fruit. Enjoy fresh or store in a cool, dry place for extended shelf life.
