  • Dense Growth: Thrives as a low-growing annual with a dense cover, featuring extensive stolons and lush leaves, making it an effective natural weed barrier.
  • Optimal Planting Conditions: Best sown in early spring; simply broadcast and rake in seeds to a depth of 2 cm in well-draining soil. Requires regular watering for optimal growth.
  • Harvesting Strategy: Mow the clover promptly when it begins to bloom to prevent reseeding and encourage thicker vegetative growth.
  • Culinary & Utilitarian Use: Acts as a superior green manure crop, enriching the soil with nitrogen, ideal for rotating in garden rows or covering walkways.
  • Environmental Benefits: Sub clover is a short rotation crop that reduces the need for chemical herbicides and enhances soil fertility, suitable for a variety of climates.

Subterranean Clover Seeds are a powerful addition to any garden, offering a natural solution for weed suppression and soil enrichment. This dense, low-growing cover crop is perfect for garden walkways and large planting areas, providing a lush green manure that fixes atmospheric nitrogen into the soil. Plant in early spring by broadcasting seeds and lightly raking them into the soil. Regular watering will ensure a robust, healthy crop.

Once the clover begins to bloom, mow it down to prevent reseeding and encourage thicker vegetative growth. This practice not only enriches your soil but also reduces the need for chemical inputs, making it a sustainable choice for eco-friendly gardening. Transform your garden's health and productivity with Subterranean Clover, the ideal choice for enhancing soil fertility and reducing chemical herbicide use.

  • 4 kg is best for landscapers, market growers, and larger properties needing broad coverage across extensive beds, meadows, or pathways.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Subterranean Clover seeds in early spring by broadcasting them over the desired area. Lightly rake the seeds into the soil to a depth of about 2 cm. Ensure the soil is well-draining and keep it moist for optimal germination.

Germination occurs within 7-14 days. Once seedlings appear, monitor their growth, ensuring they receive regular watering. If necessary, thin the plants to avoid overcrowding and promote healthy development. No transplanting is needed as the clover spreads naturally.

To maintain the clover and enhance its benefits, mow it down when it begins to bloom to prevent reseeding. This encourages thicker growth and maximizes nitrogen fixation. At the end of the season, incorporate the clover into the soil as green manure to enrich the planting bed for the next season.
