GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow sage seeds in early spring, either indoors or directly in the garden once the last frost has passed. Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil. Lightly cover seeds with soil and keep them moist until germination.

Sage seeds germinate in 7-14 days at temperatures between 68-75°F (18-23°C). If starting indoors, transplant seedlings outdoors when they have at least two sets of true leaves. Gradually acclimate them to outdoor conditions by hardening off.

Water sage regularly but do not overwater, as it prefers slightly dry conditions once established. Harvest leaves as needed, starting with the outer leaves to encourage bushy growth. Enjoy fresh or dried in culinary dishes.
