GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Peppermint Swiss Chard seeds directly outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. Plant seeds about 1 inch deep and 5-6 seeds per 12 inches of row, with rows spaced 18-24 inches apart. Thin seedlings to 6 inches apart once they have grown a few inches tall.

Germination typically occurs within 5-10 days. Ensure the soil is consistently moist but well-drained. As the plants grow, you may need to thin them further to allow for adequate air circulation. Transplanting is not usually necessary as chard grows well when directly sown.

Water regularly to maintain soil moisture, especially during dry spells. Harvest leaves when they are young and tender for the best taste. Regular harvesting encourages new growth. Enjoy chard in salads, sautés, or as a colorful garnish.
