GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Honey Bear Acorn Squash seeds directly in the garden after the last frost, or start indoors in 3-inch pots 3 weeks before the last frost date. Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil.

Germinate seeds at a soil temperature of 70°F (21°C). Transplant seedlings outdoors when they have at least two true leaves and the soil has warmed. Space plants 3 feet apart to allow room for growth and airflow.

Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer during the growing season. Harvest when the squash is dark green and has a hard rind, typically 85 days after planting.
