GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Dilly of a Jack Pumpkin seeds outdoors after the last frost, or start indoors in peat pots to avoid root disturbance. Choose a sunny location with well-drained, fertile soil. Space seeds or seedlings 10 feet apart to accommodate their large size.

Germinate seeds in warm conditions, around 70-85°F. If starting indoors, transplant seedlings carefully to avoid damaging the roots. Harden off by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions over a week.

Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Fertilize with a balanced formula early on, then switch to a high-potassium fertilizer as fruits develop. Watch for pests and diseases, and harvest when the stem darkens and withers.
