GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Deep Cylinder Beet seeds as early as the soil can be worked in spring. Plant seeds 1/2 inch deep in rows spaced 18 inches apart. Ensure the soil is well-drained and rich in organic matter for optimal growth.

Germination occurs in 5-10 days. Once seedlings are 2 inches tall, thin them to 2-4 inches apart to allow room for root development. The thinned greens can be used in salads for a nutritious boost.

Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Harvest when roots are about 2 inches in diameter by gently pulling them from the soil. Leave an inch of stem to prevent bleeding and preserve flavor.
