GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Butterhead Mirlo Lettuce seeds directly into the garden soil as soon as it is workable in spring. Choose a sunny location and sow the seeds lightly, covering them with a thin layer of soil. Space seeds about 6 to 7 per 30 cm of row for optimal growth.

Once seedlings reach about 5 cm in height, thin them to 20 cm apart to allow ample space for growth. Ensure the soil is consistently moist to aid germination. If transplanting, harden off seedlings by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions over a week.

Water regularly to maintain even moisture and prevent bolting. Harvest leaves as needed once they reach a desirable size, or cut the entire head for a larger harvest. Succession planting every 10-14 days ensures a continuous supply of fresh lettuce.
