GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Buttercrunch Lettuce seeds directly into the garden as soon as the soil can be worked in spring. Choose a location with full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep, spacing them 12 inches apart in rows 18 inches apart.

Germination typically occurs within 7-14 days. Keep the soil consistently moist to ensure successful germination. Once seedlings are 2 inches tall, thin them to 12 inches apart to allow for full growth. Harden off seedlings before transplanting if starting indoors.

Water regularly to maintain soil moisture, especially during dry spells. Harvest leaves as needed, starting with the outer leaves, to encourage continued growth. Enjoy the crisp, buttery texture of the leaves in salads and sandwiches.
