GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Zinnia Peppermint Stick seeds outdoors in well-draining soil as soon as the ground can be worked in spring. Lightly cover the seeds and keep the soil moist until seedlings emerge. For earlier blooms, start seeds indoors 4 weeks before the last frost, maintaining a temperature of 21°C (70°F).

Once seedlings have 3-4 leaves, reduce temperature to 15°C (60°F) to prevent legginess. Transplant outdoors after the last frost, spacing plants 12 inches apart to allow for growth. Harden off seedlings by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions over a week.

Zinnias require regular watering but avoid overhead watering to prevent disease. Fertilize bi-weekly with high-phosphorus and seaweed fertilizers to promote vibrant blooms. Enjoy these striking flowers in your garden or as cut flowers in arrangements.
