GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow Sweet Pea Scarlet Seeds early in the spring for best results. Create a trench about 7 cm deep and plant 3 to 4 seeds per foot of row, covering them initially with 2 cm of soil. Soaking seeds prior to planting can speed up germination. Gradually fill in the trench as seedlings grow, spacing them 15 cm apart.

Germination typically occurs within 10-14 days. Once seedlings have emerged, thin them to ensure proper spacing. Support the plants with a trellis or netting as they grow. Harden off seedlings by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions before transplanting.

Sweet Pea plants thrive in well-drained, cool, moist soil. Water regularly, but avoid waterlogging. Apply a high-phosphate fertilizer and liquid seaweed every two weeks to encourage prolonged blooming. Prune spent flowers to promote continued growth and enjoy the vibrant, fragrant blossoms throughout the season.
