GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Start Exhibition Onion seeds indoors in mid to late March using soil packs or a 20-row seed flat. Keep seedlings trimmed to about 4 inches to encourage strong growth. Use a light, well-draining soil mix to provide the best start.

Once the soil warms up in spring, transplant the seedlings outdoors. Ensure that the rows are spaced 18 inches apart with 6 inches between each plant. Gradually harden off the seedlings by exposing them to outdoor conditions for a few hours each day over a week before transplanting.

Provide regular watering and feed with a fertilizer mix of 10-52-17 along with liquid seaweed bi-weekly. Keep the area weed-free and ensure good air circulation. Harvest onions when the tops begin to yellow and fall over, typically around 110 days after planting. Enjoy their sweet flavor in a variety of dishes.
