GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Start your Shoya Long Eggplant seeds indoors about six to eight weeks before the last expected frost. Use small pots or seed trays, covering the seeds lightly with soil. Maintain a warm environment of around 24°C (75°F) for optimal germination.

Once seedlings have developed a few true leaves, gradually acclimate them to outdoor conditions. Transplant them into the garden after the danger of frost has passed, spacing them 45 cm (18 inches) apart in rows that are 1 meter (3 feet) apart.

Ensure the plants receive full sun and regular watering. Fertilize with a high-phosphorus fertilizer and organic seaweed for robust growth. Harvest the eggplants when they reach their mature size of up to 35 cm (14 inches) for the best flavor and texture.
