GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow O.S. Cross Cabbage seeds outdoors in spring after the last frost. Plant seeds 1/2 inch deep in rows, spacing them 12-18 inches apart. For an earlier start, sow indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date.

To germinate seeds indoors, maintain a temperature of around 21°C (70°F). Transplant seedlings outdoors when they have at least two true leaves and after hardening off for a week. Ensure they are spaced adequately to accommodate their large size.

Water regularly, especially during dry spells, to prevent bolting. Mulch to retain soil moisture and deter weeds. Harvest when heads are firm and reach desired size. Enjoy fresh, in salads, or as delicious homemade sauerkraut.
