GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Sow poppy seeds directly outdoors in early spring as soon as the soil is workable. Choose a sunny spot with well-draining soil. Scatter seeds lightly and cover with a thin layer of soil.

Germination occurs in 7-14 days. Poppies are sensitive to transplanting, so if starting indoors, do so only 2 weeks before the last frost. Harden off seedlings gradually before moving them outside.

Once established, poppies require moderate watering. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Enjoy the vibrant blooms and harvest seeds for culinary use once the pods dry and turn brown.
