GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

Start your Aphrodite Muskmelon seeds indoors in 2-inch peat pots 2-3 weeks before the last frost date. Sow 2-3 seeds per pot and maintain a temperature of around 70°F (21°C) for optimal germination within 7-10 days.

Once seedlings have sprouted and the threat of frost has passed, transplant them into the garden in well-amended, light soil. Space plants about 36 inches apart in rows that are 5 feet apart. Harden off seedlings by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions over a week.

Water regularly, providing about 1 inch of water per week, and mulch to retain soil moisture. Fertilize early with a balanced fertilizer to promote healthy growth. Harvest when the melons have a sweet aroma and the stem easily detaches from the fruit.
